Anthony Coleman II

My homeboy Anthony Coleman II was in town a few weeks ago. We got together before he jetted off to Miami and shot some photos. Anthony is a talented trumpet player who just graduated from New School in New York this past december. Anthony is one of those dudes who is just cool, with out even trying.
You might have heard Anthony on Joss Stone, Blackalicious, or Raphael Saadiq's albums....check those liners note... Yeah he gets around.

1979

Got to be in LA this Friday to celebrate the release of Estevan Oriol's book 1979! The book, a colabo between Adidas and UNDFTD, will be released with the Adidas Top Ten Shoe .
The event, held in downtown LA, was stunning. Estevan's Photos were printed large scale on banner type material. I've never seen photos exhibited quite this way so it was really awesome to check them out in person.




Mr. Oriol was in the house that night signing and taking photos with his fans. If you know me, you know that he is my favorite photographer, hands down. When i got a chance to work with his last year for a little while, everyday that i came to his studio i would pinch myself, I couldn't believe that i was there. I felt like i won the lottery or something! ha
On Friday, i felt that same giddiness again when i stood in line to get an autographed poster from Estevan and he wrote this

SHUT UP! i was on cloud nine.

Scotties

When I moved to LA last year, i lived with my friends dad, Mr Arrieta.
Every weekend, and sometimes a few times during the week, Mr Arrieta and i would get up super early and go
to his favorite hangout, a restaurant named Scotties. He loved this place because they have
great food and good service. All of the waitresses knew him and treated him like a king.

My homie Corey is the bomb! i think i love him 'cause hes 1. an aquarius, 2. a great writer (former hip hop editor of the Synthesis magazine, RIP) 3. gave me the opportunity to photograph some pretty-big-deal-kinda-people for the mag 4. is an all around good dude (i have a funny feeling corey was my bro in another life) but i think the number one reason i dig him is cause he started a blog! i love blogs.

Feliz Ano Nuevo Amigos!

07' was an interesting year full of super-duper ups and a few downs but over all, i can't complain. I got to contibute to some of my favorite magazines, work with my favorite photographer in the game, Mr. Estevan Oriol and assist him on shoots with 50 cent, Kim Kardashian,Travis Barker and Jenny McCarthy. CRAZY! In 07' my work was included in some super cool art books and shows,and i met the dopest people and got to know some of the homies a little better too. ya'll know who you are :) 2007 was eventful to say the least. I can't wait to see what 2008 has instore. Whatever it is, i know I'm ready!
