Luke x NYC

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing the gifted tattoo artist Luke Wessman in New York. We spent the afternoon shooting portraits in my favorite neighborhood, the lower east side, and also got to hop on the Staten Island Ferry. The ferry is so awesome because not only is it a beautiful ride, it's also free. It doesn't get better than that! Luke was great to work with; super photogenic and easy to shoot. We got a lot of great shots from our session and I can't wait to share them. In the mean time, here are a few from our trip on the ferry. Street Player

I had the honor of photographing the legendary Ric Salinas, founding member of the performance trio Culture Clash for the SF Guardian last week. Ric will star in the play, Placas, which opens this Thursday at the Lorraine Hasberry Theater in downtown San Francisco. The play deals with powerful themes of gang life, fatherhood and redemption. I got to see a very small portion of the show during a rehearsal and I can tell you that this is definitely a play not to be missed.
