On a Mission

I shot the latest cover story for the San Francisco Guardian featuring Police Officers' Cathey and Sands. These guys are doing great work in the community with Mission neighborhood youth. Check out the full story HERE.

Street Player

I had the honor of photographing the legendary Ric Salinas, founding member of the performance trio Culture Clash for the SF Guardian last week. Ric will star in the play, Placas, which opens this Thursday at the Lorraine Hasberry Theater in downtown San Francisco. The play deals with powerful themes of gang life, fatherhood and redemption. I got to see a very small portion of the show during a rehearsal and I can tell you that this is definitely a play not to be missed.

 

Some of my images are in this weeks edition of the San Francisco based news paper, El Tecolote. What a pleasant surprise to find out that the story, which i originally thought would be a short blurb, is a double page feature. Shot out to Kelly Mendez for writing the piece.  Thanks chica. I really appreciate it.
